Programme Overview
The World Real Estate Excellence Awards programme spans 35+ award categories across five regions and 100+ countries. Categories are organised into seven primary tracks: Developer Awards, Architecture & Design Awards, Broker & Agency Awards, Luxury Property Awards, Smart & Sustainable Awards, Specialist Awards and Regional Awards. Each track contains multiple categories judged against published criteria specific to the segment.
Most entrants compete in two to four categories — typically a mix of corporate-level recognition (Developer Of The Year, Agency Of The Year) and project-level recognition (Luxury Property Of The Year, Architecture Excellence Award). Multi-category entries qualify for discounted fees and increase the probability of winning at least one category.
The full list of categories is published below. Each links through to its dedicated programme page with detailed criteria, entry guidance and historical context.

Regional Awards
Each of the categories above also runs at regional level across the seven World Real Estate Excellence Awards regions — Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania — plus the GCC sub-region. Regional categories ensure projects compete fairly within their own market context. Many also run at country level, allowing single-market specialists to compete against direct local peers.
Most multi-category entrants compete across country, regional and global levels of a single category — for example, entering Developer Of The Year India (country), Developer Of The Year Asia (regional) and Developer Of The Year (global) simultaneously. Each level is judged separately, and multi-level wins are common in luxury, architecture and sustainability categories.
How To Choose Categories
- Pick categories where your evidence is strongest — verified outcomes, quality photography.
- Mix corporate-level and project-level for maximum coverage.
- Consider regional categories first — the field is narrower than global.
- Don't over-extend — three strong entries reliably beat six weak entries.
- Multi-category entries qualify for discounted fees.
- If unsure, contact the awards team for category consultation.
Submit Your Awards Nomination
Nominations are submitted online via the official entry portal. Detailed resources are published throughout this site. The awards team can be contacted directly for category consultation, particularly for first-time entrants or organisations entering multiple categories.
